Quality Sister Time!

What a great big sister! Emma wanted to read some of the book she's been reading to Ella while I packed her bag to go to Birmingham. Then she decided she might like one that had pictures in it better. Emma is such a great role model for El to have. I have no doubt that Ella will be just as smart as her sister...i think Emma will make sure of that!

Silly Emma!

Lucky Girls!

Emma and Ella are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents! They are loved more than they know! They have Nana, Poppy, Mimi and Pop! Who could ask for more!? Lucky Girls!

Dinner Time!

Ella's finally getting this "highchair" thing down! The first several times I tried to feed her in it with a spoon she would take a couple of bites and then start throwing one of her infamous fits! But the past few days she's done great! She's been eating the entire bowl without the first frown! Now she laughs and tries to talk while she's eating and only starts to cry when you take it away!

Baby Dedication!

Ella was dedicated at church on Sunday! She got to wear the same dress Emma wore when she was dedicated. It was one of the few things I saved from when Em was little, since I knew it would be a while before we had another one. But 6 years later it still looked brand new! Isn't she cute!?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Emma and Ella both got flowers today from Jeb for Valentines Day! They were so excited (well, Em was...El didn't really know what was going on). I think they both had a great Valentine's Day and the flowers from Daddy made it that much better! Are these two Daddy's girls, or what!?

Thanks Mimi and Pop!

Last night Emma and Ella got to open their Valentine's Day presents that Mimi and Pop sent them. Since El's been sick, mimi thought they needed to go ahead and open them so it would make El feel better... and of course Emma couldn't be left out! She was right! Ella LOVED "Bernice" the singing hippo/dragon. She let out her first happy squeal in a day and half! And, of course, Emma LOVED hers as well! Who wouldn't like two boxes filled with nothing but Chocolate? Jeb said thanks for that, Mimi! We ALL love Mimi and Pop!

Oh Emma!

Emma loves her globe! She can find just about anything it asks her to now. She is definitely her daddy's child. I think she got his brains. Since she loves it so much, she thought Ella would love it too! She tried showing her how it worked and all of the "cool" places on it but got a little frustrated when El didn't show as much interest in it as she would have liked! She said she wasn't paying attention. I think El might have a little more of me in her! We can already see that they are going to have two completely different personalities! They're both special in their own way! Oh..and of course, since we were taking pictures we had to get at least ONE with a pose!

Too Tired To Eat!

Despite what the pictures show, she's actually starting to get used to eating in the highchair. However, there have been some nights (like this one) when she just wants to sit down and drink her bottle and not fool with the highchair and being fed with a spoon. I guess this was my fault. She was just too tired! Poor Ella, she ate most of it but eventually just gave up! She ended up falling asleep in the highchair! It made for a cute picture, though!

The Girls

Here are a few more pictures of our growing girls! It's hard to believe it's been almost 4 months since Ella arrived! Having Ella here makes Emma seem so much more grown up! We've always seen her as our little baby, and then El arrived and we realized just how "grown up" she's become! We are very lucky to have these two precious girls!

Daddy/Daughter Dance ' 08

Last night was Auburn's annual Daddy/Daughter Dance! Last year was their first year to go and now it's something that Emma asks about all year until it comes around again! I know it probably doesn't sound like a big deal, but here it's huge! Some people go all out and rent limos and tuxedos and everything! Jeb opted to stick with the same blue suit he wore last year (and will probably still be wearing when he takes El!) However, none of that matters to Em. She thinks it's the best thing ever (for now at least), but only because she thinks her daddy is the best thing ever!

Jeb spent the afternoon with El! I guess it was daddy/daughter day before the daddy/daughter dance!

We always have to get her nails and hair done ..... which she actually really enjoys despite the expression on her face in this picture!

And we can never JUST take a picture....there has to be some kind of pose!

She was a little hesitant to take a picture with El....she was afraid she was going to "spit" on her dress and ruin it! Poor Ella......i have a feeling she's going to get blamed for everything!

Aren't they cute?! Jeb was VERY excited about the pink flowers i ordered for him to wear! I don't know to many daddy's who would go through all of this just to make his daughter happy! Even though it's probably not his idea of a fun night, he would never even consider not going! And that's a good thing because, between both of the girls, he has at least 10 more years of the daddy/daughter dance ahead of him! (Probably in the same blue suit!)

Daddy's Birthday!

Jeb's birthday was thursday. As you can see, Emma and I spent all afternoon making him cupcakes so he would have a suprise when he came home from work! The one with the candle in it is Emma's "special" cupcake that she made all by herself just for Daddy! We ran out of "D's" so she had to put a "J" on it for "Jeb"!

Before we could eat cupcakes we had to go dinner to celebrate. Emma said that was the coolest fish tank ever! I think Emma and Jeb were a little more interested in it than El was! It was a great night! It's always fun to be able to do something nice for Jeb once in a while since he's the one that's always taking care of us! We love Daddy!

Daddy's Girls!

Jeb definitly has his hands full with these two. Emma is a daddy's girl already and, i have a feeling, Ella will be too! I guess that's what happens when you have such a great daddy!

Ella has to have her blanket when she sleeps. It's so funny how she can be crying one minute and as soon as she gets her blanket she's fine. She's so pretty when she sleeps......and when she's awake for that matter!

Having Fun with Daddy!

Emma thinks it's so funny to pick on Jeb.....that is, until he starts picking on her! She usually gives up pretty easily after that. There's never a dull moment at our house!

Stubborn Baby!

Well....the highchair may be fun for playing, but I don't think we're quite ready to use it for eating! She lasted about 5 minutes when i tried to feed her in it the other night. She loves the cereal and apples but prefers to have it in a bottle........to much work with a spoon! We'll keep trying, though! She'll get it eventually. She IS only 3 months, so we won't push her to hard for now! Poor Baby!
